25 Ways Baby Boomers Have Screwed Over Younger Generations

It seems that no matter the year, there’s always been a generational divide. For whatever reason, older and younger generations just can’t get along.

It’s a situation we find ourselves in today. Baby Boomers label their younger counterparts as lazy, entitled, and easily offended. And let’s not forget about all the things Millenials have “ruined” for society. Needless to say, Baby Boomers have been vocal when it comes to their disdain for the younger generations.

Recently, we as young people have also started speaking up. After all, we can find more than a few things that Boomers got wrong.

Today we point the finger back at Baby Boomers and shed light on their mistakes. These are 25 Ways Baby Boomers Screwed Over Younger Generations.

  1. sorry not a boomer but an older millennial but America immigration policy should be like Japans or Australia. You got to be able to support yourself from day one. You shouldn't be able to go to a country an expect a handout.

it's the other way around for me. Older people (some) seem to understand more about mental illness and care while younger millenials then myself seem to not give a f and or just pity you.

  2. My grandfather built their family home for $11,000 in the late ‘40s and the place was huge. The house was 3800 square feet, all brick, with detached two car garage and an in ground swimming pool on four acres of land. It was five bedroom, three & half bath. They sold that house when they decided to move the family their vacation house in Florida. That was a smaller 2000 square foot bungalow out on AnnaMaria Island. Of coarse my grandfather bought that house cheap in the ‘50s there was but one wooden bridge to get there. My Dad and uncles had it made. My grandfather is 93, still kicking and supposedly has the family fortune in a bank account in his girlfriends name because he doesn’t think any of us earned it. Meanwhile we’re all working our behinds off just treading water.

  3. everything you said, hurt me, because it was true as hell. I hope my generation (I'm 17) will change the face of the surface of this planet forever and don't get offended, but I am only waiting for many baby boomer to die out, because they ruined so many lives if you are a part of the baby boomer generation, but you have accepted the fact the world is ever-changing and you try to respect the younger generation, I love you for that a lot! because you are minority in your boomer populace, meaning: I know some "boomer-aged" people have good hearts and they adapted, but the majority sadly just makes this world worse for billions of us, I love you all people, young or old, respect those older, respect those younger and hope you only meet the respectful types of people in your life! 🙂

  4. Generations are bullshit. Arbitrary ways to divide us, once again. Divide and conquer. Wake up. I'm generation X, whatever that means. The baby boomer generation didn't put ALL of us in this situation. The wealthy elite did that. And they love the idea of generations. "Fight amongst yourselves."
