In this video, I’m going to be showing you How To Do a French Ombre with a White Tip! When I was teaching one day, a student nail technician asked me if this could be done. Honestly, it’s not something I have tried, so I gave it a blast on myself, then on a client and now we are doing it on camera
The way to create a this French Ombre or Baby Boomer is if you have white tips, I suppose you could gel polish a regular clear tip but whats the point.
A lot of people struggle with the blend of the White Acrylic, the Pink Acrylic. This clever little hack will help you to blend the colours. It makes blending super easy, you all know I like the easy option, as do most of you!
The most important part of this is getting the tip blended properly, you don’t want that white tip to look anything other than real, make sure your filing is clean and tidy. we are going to use three acrylics for this. First I will be applying Carmel Dream which is one of our new cover powders, then we are going to use Blank Slate, this is going to do the blend. finally, we’ll cap with Glass Rose acrylic powder to give it a lovely finish.
This is a step by step guide to doing this, it’s a great hack if you have run out of white acrylic, or have a ton of white tips sitting doing nothing
