Hey, guys. So in today’s video, I am going to be creating a French Ombre on a short nail. Yes, it’s short nail season! OMG! How exciting?

So, today we have the wonderful Olivia as our special guest and firstly, I am going to be applying a tip to her nail with a thin layer of brush on glue. Once I’ve secured that on, I am going to cut the length off the tip with the Nail Tip Cutters because we are going short with the nail today and then I’m going to file that bad boy into shape with the 180 grit file.

So in order to create the nail, we are first going to wipe over the nail with Pure Acetone, Nail Prep Dehydrator and then Acid Based Primer. After doing this, we are going to apply a bead of Mega White Acrylic Powder to the nail, leaving bulk at the tip and then feather it out to the back. I’m then going to apply Natural Beige to the back and the bring it down to create that lovely blend.

We are then going to ghost that out even more by adding a little bit of Natural Acrylic Powder and you are going to pinch it to create a nice C-curve and finally, you are going to file it, buff over it, wipe over it with a little bit of Pure Acetone, topcoat it and then cure the nail.

"Do girls with shorter nails or longer nails have more fun?"… I can tell you as a girl that has had both very long and very short nails AND a bisexual girl that has been in the bedroom with men and women that! Short if you're with a girl and long if you're with a guy 😂 (if you don't understand why then please ask someone else and don't make me explain 😂) ♥

  15. Short vs. Long….I prefer short just because of my work and my other activities. I'm almost constantly on the computer and it's not easy to type with long nails, I also play flute and long nails sometimes get in the way of the keys, or they hit the flute and make click noises that don't always go with the music 😀

    I have a friend who wears very long nails. Her biggest complaint is that the first thing people ask her about her nails is "How do you wipe your butt?"

I wish I could come to you and get my nails done, there is no artist in the south that understand how to do these, I showed an image of babyboomer nails to the tech and had to explain the process, at the end they proceeded to paint two dots where the shine spots were on the image, I had to tell her it's not a pattern; it is from the topcoat.🤦‍♀️

    I have gotten my nails done once but I didn’t love it. I wish I could go visit you to have my nails done, you are so careful and talented, I feel I can trust your expertise.

    I can handle long nails but I become clumsier than I already am, typing at work becomes a loud affair, and I can’t work my phone, I just can’t 🤣 So I file my nails often when the length has reached certain length, it hurts my soul because it takes forever for my nails to grown but it has to be done 😢

    I’m a grandmother in the body of a 29yo, I need grandmother nails. I think they are gorgeous tho’
